Cruise Ready exists for one reason: most cruise advice online is either written by cruise lines themselves (so it's marketing, not advice) or by lifestyle bloggers who cruise once a year and repeat the same ten tips everyone else already published.
We do things differently. Every guide on this site is built from official sources — cruise line policies, terminal requirements, government entry rules — cross-checked and written specifically for people planning their first cruise, or their first cruise to a specific destination. When policies change, we update the guide.
Packing lists that reflect actual cabin storage constraints, document and visa requirements broken down by cruise line and nationality, independent excursion picks that are cheaper and just as safe as the ship-organized tours, and honest comparisons between cruise lines for people who have never booked one before.
Cruise Ready is supported by affiliate partnerships with travel and cruise-related companies (excursion providers, insurance providers, and retailers), and by display advertising. This never changes what we recommend — see our Affiliate Disclosure for the full explanation.
If you spot outdated information (cruise line policies do change), get in touch — we'd rather fix it than leave it wrong.
